Our Positive Behaviour Support Model encompasses the multidisciplinary expertise of Behaviour Support Practitioners and Speech Pathologists to understand the drivers of behaviours from a communication, sensory and environmental perspective.
Role OverviewAn opening has become available for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner living in Bendigo to join our professional and friendly team. Thanks to our commitment to service excellence, demand for our services continues to grow. We require an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who has a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based, functional behavioural outcomes.
Responsibilities- Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
- Identify meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
- Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
- Ensure individual plans reflect our clients' goals, passions and strengths
- Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc

- Current suitability (i.e. registration) with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner is essential
- Demonstrated ability to work positively in a multidisciplinary team
- Outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Confident computer skills
- Flawless writing skills
- Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
- Degree level qualifications of relevance to providing supports to people with behaviours of concern are highly preferred
