Role

We're seeking a seasoned Dams Engineer at the Lead to Principal level to join our market-leading Northern Australia Dams Group. Our team delivers some of the most complex and high-profile dams and hydropower projects across Australia and internationally — offering you the opportunity to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact. This role can be based in any of our Northern Australia office locations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Deliver expert input across geotechnical, structural, hydraulic, design, and construction management disciplines.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Support Client Engagement & Business Development: Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Lead proposal development and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support Team Development: Mentor and support junior engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Drive Project Delivery: Identify and pursue new opportunities. Support site-based assignments during construction phases as needed.
What you will bring to the team
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree qualifications in civil engineering or related discipline.
  • RPEQ registration (or commitment to attain).
  • Be a seasoned professional with an in depth understanding of dams engineering (geotechnical, structural, hydraulic).
  • Proven experience in design and/or construction management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client engagement skills.
