Currently, we have a vacancy for the above position to join Tristar Australia (TSA), part of the Tristar group of companies. Working with a small team, the role is integral to our production team's success. Key responsibilities include :

  • Safely carry out all production processes as assigned by your direct supervisor according to the documented procedures and work instructions
  • Comply with the WA WHS Act 2020 and enforce good housekeeping and safety in the production floor
  • Operate machinery to its optimum performance level
  • Initiate action and provide solutions to prevent recurrence of product non-conformity
  • Undertake morning inspections of the warehouse including the production area to confirm there are no immediate issues or hazards that need to be addressed
  • Conduct low-level maintenance checks effectively and efficiently
  • Inspect the process and machinery regularly to ensure downtime is minimised
  • Record results of inspection in the in-process inspection record forms accurately and in a timely manner
  • Identify all in-process materials with appropriate product identification label and inspection status
  • Where applicable, ensure each and every subordinate operator is trained / accredited to perform the required work tasks
  • Actively monitor problem areas, rectify where possible and inform your direct supervisor of all quality problems encountered
  • Maintain a safe work area and ensure machines are always clean and operable

  • The ability to organise as well as problem solving skills
  • Self-starter who can anticipate needs and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience and / or trade qualifications in a production and / or warehouse environment would be considered advantageous
  • Ability to operate forklifts (WA Forklift License would be advantageous)
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 or AP1 Q1
  • The ability to establish and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent inter-personal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort
