About the Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will be providing personalised home care support to older Australians in Bega to assist them to continue living independently in their own homes. You will support multiple clients each day, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed .99c per KM travelled while you are working).
We have two Casual opportunities available with shifts available between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday, with no evening or overnight shifts. This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to make a positive impact in their community, while developing their skills and building a career.
Key Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
- Community access to medical appointments and social activities
- Personal Care including grooming and showering
- Supporting with tasks and routines
- Build positive relationships with clients and their families
Skills & Experience
- Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
- An Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.

- Casual hourly rate from $ Super + .99 cents per kilometre travelled while you work
