Job Description

Mine Site Cleaner ONLY 1 x 7/7 | Roster: 0200 - 1430, 1200 - 0030

Mine Site Cleaner / Utility 2 x 9/5 | Roster: 1200 - 0030, 0230 - 1500

Responsibilities

This is a Permanent - Full Time position in the Cleaning category. As a Mine Site Cleaner / Utility, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the mine site facilities. Your main tasks will include:

  • Performing general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal
  • Ensuring all areas are kept sanitary and safe for all personnel
  • Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery
  • Assisting with laundry services when required
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
  • Supporting other departments with basic utility tasks as needed
Additional Tasks for Utility Role
  • Setting up and clearing dining rooms
  • Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas
  • Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices
  • Providing fast, effective service during busy periods with a positive attitude
  • Assisting the broader team as required
  • Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
  • Dining Room Duties - maintaining cleanliness, stock, and crib food levels
  • Housekeeping Duties - room and ensuite cleaning, making beds (if needed)
  • Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
  • Mine Site Cleaning - cleaning offices, crib huts, bathhouses

Desired Skills And Experience

The ideal applicant will have:

  • MSC MUST HAVE previous experience working as a Mine Site Cleaner 12 months +
  • MSC/U must have experience working as a Utility/Utility All Rounder/Cleaner/Housekeeper/Kitchen Hand 12 months +
  • A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
  • A motivated, enthusiastic and positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
  • Drivers License (Auto or Manual)
