The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter with CNC experience to join our team. This position requires strong carpentry skills, CNC machine operation experience, and a current forklift license. You will be involved in both the production and handling of precision wood components across a variety of commercial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
  • Operate CNC routers and milling machines.
  • Cut, assemble, and finish wood products to precise specifications.
  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials and completed components.
  • Work with a range of timber materials.
  • Follow quality control standards and workplace safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to meet project timelines.

Skills & Experiences

Must be able to work with limited supervision and as an effective team member.

Required
  • Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Proven experience in carpentry and CNC machine operation.
  • Current and valid forklift license.
  • Strong understanding of woodworking methods and joinery.
  • Ability to read and work from detailed plans and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.

Preferred
  • Experience with panel saws, and other woodworking equipment.
  • Familiarity with nesting software or cabinet-making systems.
  • Previous work in shopfitting, custom joinery, or cabinetry.
