Are you passionate about vibrant communities, inclusive precincts, and dynamic city life? We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Night Time Economy Project Officer to lead initiatives that enhance the vibrancy, safety, and economic growth of our city's night-time precincts.

This is a unique opportunity to drive place-based activation, support local businesses, and shape the future of our city after hours.

About the Role

As the Night Time Economy Project Officer, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of precinct-based programs aligned with the NSW Government's Purple Flag Program
  • Build strong partnerships with local businesses, community groups, and internal stakeholders
  • Design and implement marketing and engagement strategies to raise awareness of night-time economy initiatives
  • Coordinate data collection, reporting, and evaluation to support ongoing precinct accreditation and improvement
  • Develop tools to monitor and report on the impact of night-time activation efforts
  • Manage working groups and deliver initiatives that support a safe, welcoming, and thriving evening environment

About You

You are someone who:

  • Thinks creatively, acts strategically, and thrives on collaboration
  • Communicates confidently with community members, businesses, and stakeholders
  • Has experience in project management, marketing, community engagement, or economic development
  • Is passionate about shaping inclusive, safe, and vibrant spaces
  • Can work flexibly, including occasional after-hours or weekend events

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Digital Media, Economics, or related discipline
  • Strong stakeholder and community engagement experience
  • Effective project coordination and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence

Desirable

  • Familiarity with the Purple Flag Program or night-time economy strategies
  • Experience working in local government or in diverse community settings
  • Understanding of data analytics and reporting
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
