The Role:
We are recruiting for a Leading Hand Carpenter with the opportunity to progress into a Supervisor role. This full-time position is based in Northern Brisbane and offers Monday to Friday work, with no weekends. You'll play a key role in leading projects from start to finish, working closely with the onsite supervisor and managing director to ensure each renovation is executed to perfection

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Use carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring product conformity and handling materials
  2. Lead carpentry work for high-end residential renovations and extensions
  3. Oversee formwork erection/dismantling, demolition, and installation of flooring, frames, roofs, windows, and doors
  4. Manage a team of carpenters and apprentices, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and meeting deadlines
  5. Assist with project management and maintain effective communication on-site
  6. Ensure professionalism, honesty, and accountability throughout the project

Skills and Experience:

  1. Certificate III in Carpentry with a minimum 2 years of post-trade experience in residential renovations.
  2. Must own a Work Ute and a full set of tools (sufficient for onsite renovations).
  3. A valid driver's licence and White Card are required.
  4. Experience in high-end residential renovations with the ability to meet deadlines and manage projects efficiently.
  5. Excellent communication skills—reliable, honest, and able to lead a team effectively.
  6. A positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and problem solve.
  8. QBCC Licence (not essential).
