Overview

The role: Principal Analyst Network Planning; reporting to Network Planning Manager; responsible for domestic and international fleet capacity planning, new route business cases, and internal stakeholder collaboration to achieve market performance goals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic, data-driven initiatives to enhance operational efficiency in assigned markets
  • Drive strategic, analysis-based initiatives to improve efficiency in assigned markets
  • Analyse relevant data and provide insights to facilitate informed, data-driven decision-making by business stakeholders
  • Identify and implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiency for assigned markets
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and, over time, manage a subset of markets and develop stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills
To Be Considered For This Role You Will Have
  • Strong understanding of the airline industry, Qantas Group, and competitors\' schedules and products
  • Ability to interpret profit & loss statements and derive cost estimates for flying
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in Excel modelling
  • Quick learner with the ability to develop new tools and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on error-checking
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with PowerPoint proficiency
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Trusted by Senior Management and peers
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or aviation
  • 2+ years\' in a commercial planning or analytical role preferred
