About the role

As the Senior Designer at Thomas Cook Boot and Clothing, you will play a key role in shaping the Western Brands fashion designs. Reporting directly to the Design Manager, this full-time position is based in our Nunawading, Victoria office. You will be responsible for leading a team of talented designers to create innovative and trend-setting ranges for our western brands including Wrangler and Pure Western.

What you'll be doing

  1. Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept development to finalising production-ready designs
  2. Work with a team of designers, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure exceptional creative output
  3. Research industry trends and consumer insights to inform the design direction for upcoming seasons
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally with the product, merchandising and marketing teams to ensure design solutions meet business objectives
  5. Present design concepts to senior stakeholders and secure buy-in for new collections
  6. Ensure designs meet quality, cost and production requirements
  7. Travel to local and international trade shows to stay up-to-date with the latest fashion and textile innovations

What we're looking for

  1. Degree or equivalent qualification in fashion or textile design
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior designer in the fashion or apparel industry
  3. Proven track record of leading high-performing design teams and delivering commercially successful collections
  4. Strong technical skills in design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud
  5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  6. Collaborative mindset and a commitment to mentoring and developing team
