About Us :

TAFE SA is South Australia's leading vocational education and training (VET) institution committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering academic excellence. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Educational Manager to join our team.

The Role :

Join our team as the Educational Manager in Engineering. You will work closely with the Faculty Dean to develop and implement the academic framework, ensuring alignment with TAFE SA's educational strategy and quality standards. You will lead educators and collaborate with stakeholders to drive initiatives that empower students academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Strategic Leadership: Envision and articulate a compelling future for TAFE SA, set clear goals, lead your team with effective decision-making, communication, and adaptability.
  2. Human Resource Management: Implement HR policies and strategies to foster a productive work environment.
  3. Future Focused: Support the design of learning programs for current and future skills needs, integrating innovative learning techniques and technologies.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality education through assessment strategies, monitoring progress, and addressing issues promptly.
  5. Industry and Community Relations: Develop relationships with industries, government agencies, and employer groups; communicate emerging trends to stakeholders.
  6. Equal Employment and Education Opportunity: Lead efforts to promote diversity, ethical practices, and legislative compliance among stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you must have :

  1. An undergraduate degree in Adult or Vocational Education
  2. A Diploma in Management (Min AQF5) or a Graduate Certificate in Management
  3. Undergraduate degrees in both Adult or Vocational Education and Management
  4. Postgraduate qualifications in Adult or Vocational Education and Management

Strategic and People Leadership

  • Proven experience leading large teams
  • Experience in educational operations management
  • Knowledge of educational best practices and trends
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Financial acumen, project management, and strategic thinking
  • Trade or relevant professional qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement educational strategies
