About The Role

We require an enthusiastic, motivated Occupational Therapist to join our experienced and supportive Allied Health team on a casual basis. The department provides services to a broad range of clinical caseloads across the hospital. This role will be based within the acute inpatient setting, whilst developing appropriate discharge plans within a multidisciplinary team.

About You

To be successful you will need to be flexible with shifts and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build rapport and deliver a high standard of customer-focused service in line with our Ramsay core values.
  • Occupational Therapy qualification and AHPRA registered.
  • Minimum 1-5 years Acute clinical experience working in an acute hospital setting (preferred).
  • Highly developed assessment and intervention skills.
  • Demonstrate a capacity to manage a busy and diverse case load.
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational skills and effective communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently within a diverse clinical team.

Remuneration

$40.75 - $60.98 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (Grade 1.1 – 2.5)

The Hospital

Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital opened on 4 November 2013, offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and day services across a wide range of specialties.

Facilities include 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11 bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and an 9 chair day therapy unit. Medical consulting suites are located onsite together with comprehensive pathology and radiology services. Other onsite facilities include a retail pharmacy and coffee shop.

The Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, a global operator of private hospitals and primary care clinics with 72 Australian sites employing over 34,000 people. We have been focused on delivering high-quality patient care and practising the Ramsay Way philosophy of ' People Caring for People' since 1964.

Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
