Casual Room Attendant/Public Area CleanerThe Great Southern Hotel Melbourne (GSH-Melbourne) is a self-rated 4 Star hotel located in the heart of Melbourne CBD. We are currently seeking an experienced Housekeeping Hotel Room Attendant on a casual basis to join our team. You must take pride in your work and be willing to go that "extra mile" to make our guests' stay an enjoyable one. This is a physically demanding role that requires an energetic and enthusiastic person who is ready and willing to work as part of a team.
About the role:
As our Room Attendant/Public Area Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:
- General Housekeeping of Rooms and Public Areas of the Hotel
- Cleaning public areas such as hotel lobby, lift, stairways, public toilets, etc.
- Servicing and cleaning allocated guest rooms
- Handling all amenities, chemicals, and equipment according to specific instructions and OH&S standards and undertaking special cleaning projects as directed
About you:
The successful candidate must:
- Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
- Be flexible and available for work across a 7-day roster with early morning or evening shifts
- Have knowledge and understanding of basic hygiene requirements and safe working procedures
- Be committed to providing extraordinary service
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a minimum of 12 months experience in a 3-to-5-star establishment
