ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. About The Role

As the Psychologist, you'll play a vital role within a multidisciplinary team, providing crucial mental health support to active ADF members.

In this role you will -

• Conduct initial assessments, administer psychometric tests, and develop personalized treatment plans to address each individual's unique needs.
• Have the autonomy to manage your own caseload while collaborating with your team on risk assessments and crisis intervention.
• Develop comprehensive treatment strategies.

About The Health Centre

Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This super-base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine. The health centre operates a 16 bed low dependency ward 24/7. It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

About You

As the ideal applicant, you will have –

• A current, unconditional, and unrestricted registration as a psychologist.
• At least 2 years' post-graduate experience in mental health within the last 5 years, including expertise in conducting comprehensive assessments and delivering evidence-based Focussed Psychological Strategies.
• A current HLTAID009 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate.
• Familiarity with state/territory policies, national standards, and the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 is considered advantageous.
• Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence security clearance.
