About the position
Due to continued growth, we are seeking applications from experienced Underground Project Engineers to join the Barminco team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Site Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks.

Key Performance Tasks:
  1. Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures & statutory requirements.
  2. Ensure mining physicals are achieved as per contract/client schedules.
  3. Ensure client requirements are met contractually whilst maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with the client.
  4. Use analysis and implementation of cost reduction initiatives.
  5. Use analysis and implementation of revenue generating initiatives.
  6. Management of Site Finances.
  7. Short Term Scheduling of Operations.
  8. Production Monitoring.
  9. Monthly performance reporting.
  10. Quality Assurance programme management.
  11. Budget preparation.
  12. Assist in the preparation of monthly claims and interface with the client.
  13. Deputise for the Mine Foreman when requested.
Required Skills:
  1. Understanding both equipment and human resource capability and productivities.
  2. Ability to manage the mining contract and manage mining costs.
  3. Ability to communicate and liaise with both employees and client site management.
  4. Ability to prepare monthly mining progress claims.
  5. Ability to identify potential hazards and minimise risks.
  6. Ability to schedule labour.
  7. Ability to assess mining working conditions and environment.
  8. Understanding the mine reporting system.
  9. Understanding appropriate statutory and mining regulations.
  10. Ability to supervise, lead, assess, promote, and educate personnel as required.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Degree in Mining Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 5 years Underground Mining Experience.
  3. Underground Supervisors Certificate or 1st Class Mine Managers Certificate.
  4. Senior First Aid Certificate.
  5. A valid Manual Australian Driver's License.
