Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive company sales growth and profitability through customer-centric selling, teamwork, superior product knowledge, and an impeccable customer experience.
  2. Lead the selling process to ensure goals are met during shifts for all employees.
  3. Foster a customer-focused selling culture and model the service & sales experience.
  4. Provide individual & team performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
  5. Coach and elevate team performance in the moment to maximize team selling potential. Set clear goals and expectations with all associates on every shift.
  6. Support onboarding of new employees and continued training of the selling team.
  7. Be a brand ambassador; support community engagement and local store marketing partnerships to increase brand visibility.
  8. Support order and inventory processes where applicable.
  9. Freeze stores: cutting, preparing, and serving product. Clean equipment and follow proper food handling procedures.
  10. Heat stores: preparing hot beverages, following proper food handling procedures, and cleaning equipment.
  11. Manage third-party vendors effectively.
  12. Enroll all customers in our Loyalty Program.
  13. Engage in active product sampling throughout all day parts.
  14. Share customer feedback with the store manager regarding product requests, concerns, and suggestions.
  15. Perform opening and closing duties including execution of bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and interpretation/dissemination of company directives when assigned as manager on duty. Maintain store appearance and cleanliness standards.
  16. Lead by example - reinforce company policy and ensure a safe & respectful work environment for all members.
  17. Utilize POS and related computer systems to ensure efficiency.
  18. Other job-related duties as requested.
  19. Maintain sales floor coverage and follow posted schedules.

Requirements

  1. Passion, knowledge, and interest in health, fitness, and/or wellness.
  2. Ability to build customer relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  3. Relentless ability to achieve results.
  4. Ability to quickly adapt & embrace new procedures, processes, and shifts to priorities.
  5. Proven success in achieving goals through customer-centric selling.
  6. Excellent team player with the ability to lead & work independently.
  7. Strong verbal & written communication skills with proficiency in English.
  8. Keen understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  9. Previous retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred. Previous cash-handling and POS experience.
  10. Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
  11. Must have a valid California Food Handler Card, or applicable state-required certification.
  12. Hours vary Monday – Sunday, days, evenings, and weekends. Must have flexible availability including holidays.

Where permitted by applicable law, all candidates must have received the COVID-19 vaccination by the date of hire to be considered for employment with Pressed. Proof of vaccination will be required during the time of hire.
