Overview

Part time, (0.6FTE) permanent position. Salary is $122,167 - $131,577 (pro rata to be applied) per annum plus Super.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with families to provide advice, support, and guidance through the critical foundational years for each family.
  • Promote healthy outcomes for children and their families.
  • Provide a comprehensive and focused approach to managing the physical, emotional, or social factors affecting families in contemporary communities.
  • Provide opportunities for social interaction of the parent and child.
  • Provide families with timely, accurate and relevant information and resources to assist them achieve and maintain maximum health potential.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Post graduate qualification in Maternal & Child Health Nursing.
  • Registered General Division 1 Nurse & Midwife qualification recognised by AHPRA.
  • IBCLC qualification.
  • Able to use computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, icope and CDIS.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in Maternal & Child Health and commitment to family centred practice within an integrated early years' service model.
  • Awareness of child and family health issues, normal child development, family dynamics and promotion of maternal wellbeing.
  • Familiarity with MCH programs across Boroondara.
  • Demonstrated awareness or experience of Smalltalk and Circle of Security facilitation.
  • Experience with smalltalk and Circle of Security facilitation is preferred.
Employment Requirements
  • Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
  • All City of Boroondara employees must be fully vaccinated. Appointment of the successful candidate is subject to evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
