Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company, specialising in building customised, engineered vehicle solutions for a range of government and private clients including NSW Ambulance, SES, Medical and Disability services, and many more.

We are looking for a preferably experienced CNC Operator/Machinist to work in our busy production workshop located in Moorebank.

You will work in a clean, modern facility amongst a great team.

About the role:

  • Operate CNC Router to manufacture metal, timber, and other components.
  • Operate Laser Cutter to manufacture metal components.
  • Program CNC Router and Laser Cutter machines according to designs received from the Engineering Team.
  • Ensure accuracy for precise fabrication of materials.
  • Perform adjustments and maintenance of machinery.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Work within your team to ensure productivity at the highest level.

The successful candidate will need to be motivated, self-driven, and committed to maintaining daily production schedules with the highest quality of work.

Skills needed:

  • Experience operating and understanding CNC and Laser Cutting Machinery (preferable).
  • Understanding of sheet metal fabrication (desirable).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring products are cut accurately to design.
  • Physical ability to move and lift bulky materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production targets.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
