Overview

Globe 24-7, in partnership with a leading Perth-based gold mining company, is seeking an Underground Geology Technician (8:6 Roster). Location: Western Australia. Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off. This role offers exposure to diverse projects and long-term career opportunities.

About the Role

As an Underground Geology Technician, you will support the Geology team to efficiently and safely maximise ore extraction while minimising dilution. You will assist in accurate mark-out and recording of geological information to support grade and tonnage estimations, ensuring the success of the mining operation.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor mining contractors and technical teams to ensure ore extraction practices are optimised
  • Complete accurate ore block mark-outs and deploy blast vector indicators in a timely manner
  • Prepare, collect, submit, and dispatch samples to required standards
  • Assist with supervision and management of drill programs
  • Support Mine Geologists with geological data collection and logging
  • Monitor geology consumables and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Contribute to safety, high technical standards, and continuous improvement within the technical mining team
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong numeracy, communication, and record-keeping skills
  • A forklift licence (desirable)
  • Previous mining experience highly regarded
