Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Radiologists to join the Northern Imaging Victoria team. Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Northern Imaging Victoria is the medical imaging program of Northern Health and provides a comprehensive and integrated service consisting of Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine/PET including O&G Imaging. Our services are based across multiple Northern Health sites, with a focus on acute and emergency imaging and intervention at the Northern Hospital Epping which serves the busiest Emergency Department in Victoria. Additional imaging services are provided at Broadmeadows Hospital, Craigieburn Community Hospital, Kilmore Hospital and Bundoora Centre. Our department is equipped with the latest medical imaging equipment and a best of breed RIS-PACS and VR system. About the RoleAs a Radiologist with Northern Imaging Victoria, you will be part of a team delivering safe, high quality and efficient imaging and interventional services to referrers and patients of Northern Health as well as external referrers. This role requires broad general Radiology skills and expertise in Women's Imaging (including competency in O&G imaging) with completion of an appropriate fellowship. This is an ongoing fractional senior medical role with a commitment of 20 hours/week (0.5 EFT) and commences in October 2025 (or at a date to be confirmed with the successful candidate).
Essential Qualifications, Registrations and Qualities- Primary medical qualification (MBBS, MB BCh, MD or equivalent) registrable with AHPRA.
- Registration as a specialist Radiologist in Australia with AHPRA or have the ability to be registered with AHPRA with currency of practice and CPD participation.
- Ability to gain a Medicare provider number at Northern Health sites.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in Clinical Radiology.
- Broad knowledge in all aspects of Radiology for safe and independent consultant practice including plain film radiography, CT, MRI, US, fluoroscopy and core procedural skills.
- Expert knowledge and experience in Women's Imaging (including O&G competency) with completion of a dedicated period of fellowship training will be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in medical imaging service delivery.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued improvement and team work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable the development of professional relationships across a broad range of people.
- Commitment to excellence in medical imaging, research and medical education including training of junior staff.
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check.
