Overview

Learning Support Officer role at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – St Kevin's. 8:45am - 3:30pm, 3 days a week (dates negotiable). There is a position to commence immediately (negotiable) and another to commence 27 January 2026. We have a supportive, welcoming team of staff and amazing students.

Role Description / Criteria

St Kevin's is looking for a vibrant, energetic LSO to work with individual students P-4 and groups of students in a variety of classrooms.

Selection Criteria
  • A willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the school
  • A passion for supporting children to achieve their best
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Patience and a great sense of humour
  • An ability to keep daily written records outlining tasks and activities undertaken with students
  • Care for students with formally identified special needs in accordance with Individual Learning Plans (ILP) as applicable
  • Demonstrate practical activities within a variety of routines, methods, and experiences under supervision of teachers where discretion and judgement are required
  • May need to assist with personal care of students
  • A willingness to join in the life of the school community
Certification required
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Current designated First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Driver's Licence or other photographic proof of identity
