Our Mungari Gold Operations are a cornerstone asset located 28km west from central Kalgoorlie, Western Australia (WA) and 600km east of Perth. Mungari has a predominantly residential workforce, with many living in Kalgoorlie Boulder, giving many employees the luxury of coming home every day.

This roster will be 7:7 and a 12 hour day.

About the role

Are you ready to launch your career in the mining industry and learn from some of the best in the trade? Our Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic and Apprentice Auto Electrician roles offer hands-on, workshop-based learning in a dynamic underground mining environment, guided by highly skilled and supportive tradespeople.

These roles are designed to help you build a strong foundation in your chosen trade through a combination of on-the-job training and TAFE coursework, while contributing to the safe and efficient maintenance of our underground mobile equipment fleet.

As an Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you'll gain skills in:

• Diagnosing and repairing engines and engine components
• Maintaining mobile plant braking, steering, and fluid power systems
• Servicing drive assemblies and transmissions
• Understanding and working with electrical and electronic systems

As an Apprentice Auto Electrician, you'll learn to:

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems in heavy machinery
• Understand vehicle circuits, wiring, and electronic components
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot faults
• Apply safe and effective repair techniques

You'll also be expected to:

• Commit to maintaining health, safety, and security standards in your work and across the site
• Identify potential risks and contribute to our Zero Harm Operations
• Demonstrate behaviors that reflect Evolution Mining's values and team culture

About you

• Currently reside within the Kalgoorlie area
• Previous Cert II in Engineering is advantageous or those wanting to upskill on their current trade.
• Willingness to learn
• Teamwork focused
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Strong commitment to safety as a way of work
• Current "C" Class Australian Drivers Licence
