The Women Up Front Trainee Bus Driver program offers you the support and training you need to become a licensed and confident bus driver. This includes:

  • A friendly and supportive environment
  • An extensive induction training program with a mix of classroom and on-road training
  • Training to obtain a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence
  • A 12-month training program (Mix of classroom and on the job training) to gain a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Driving Operations - Bus)
  • Industry leading pay throughout your training
  • You will be assigned a Buddy throughout the training process to support your development
  • Depot Location - North Fitzroy, Thomastown, Doncaster, Keysborough, Heatherton, and Preston
  • Excellent customer service skills and who enjoy working with people
  • A current Australian Car driver's licence (full licence held for at least 2 years)
  • Willingness to have a pre-employment functional, drug and alcohol assessment
  • Ability to obtain a Driver Accreditation and Working with Children Check
  • Hold Australian work rights (Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen)
Responsibilities

Note: This role is focused on trainee development and training toward a professional bus driving role. Responsibilities during the program include participating in training, completing required assessments, and developing customer service skills as part of rotational duties and on-road practice.
