The Tax Adviser role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who wants to extend their skills and experience. In this role, you will expand your technical knowledge at a faster rate than with almost any other employer in the market.

Knowledge Shop is the 'advisers' adviser' working with thousands of accounting and advice professionals every day to help them resolve and clarify the issues they face working with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tax advice to Knowledge Shop membership through the help desk
  • Support the development of Knowledge Shop's knowledge base
  • If willing and able, upskill as a technical education presenter and creator
  • Contribute to the development and distribution of knowledge that benefits the profession

Qualifications

As a minimum, you must have:

  • Manager level experience within an Australian public accounting practice
  • Tax advice experience, which means that you know how to comprehend, interpret and apply tax legislation, ATO rulings and other guidance material - and have provided this advice to clients (separate to managing tax compliance)
  • Current membership of CPA Australia, CAANZ, or TTI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working conditions

Our preference is for full-time advisers but we will consider part-time for the right candidate.

Knowledge Shop is based in the Sydney CBD but your geographic location in Australia is not necessarily an impediment. For full-time team members, we generally work three days per week in the office and two from home (part time pro rata).

Working rights and deep experience in Australia and Australian tax law are essential for this role. As such, overseas candidates will not be considered for this role.
