Senior Manager at Moir Group | Senior Contract and Interim Executive Recruitment (Accountancy and Finance)

Position

This key role will apply your knowledge of IFRS to manage the accounts for Australia, working closely with local auditors and corporate tax advisors. You will also collaborate with the International team to help guide financial strategy, maintain internal controls, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing general cost accounting and other related tasks within the accounting department.
  • Preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coding invoices, setting up new accounts, reconciling accounts, and closing the monthly books.
  • Reconciling bank accounts at least monthly, verifying deposits, and addressing any inquiries from banks.
  • Managing customer accounts and overseeing accounts receivable collections.
  • Verifying the payment of accounts payable invoices and ensuring payments are correctly allocated to the appropriate accounts.
  • Assisting external auditors by gathering necessary account information and documents for the annual audit.
  • Filing required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Coordinating with software vendors to maintain and update accounting software systems, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned to support the overall finance function.

Profile

A CA/CPA qualification and experience in a similar standalone finance role would be advantageous. You will be a self-motivated and reliable individual with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Additionally, the ability to work proactively is essential, as you'll be collaborating across different time zones with your manager.
