ID POP is a dynamic and growing Retail Design agency, working with a diverse range of global brands across the Australian and Asia Pacific markets. Our team is made up of some of the most experienced retail design professionals in the industry, known for their proactive approach to delivering innovative solutions, no matter the production process or market.

About the role:

The past year has seen significant growth at ID POP, and we're looking for Industrial Designers to join our team in 2025. This role is ideal for experienced designers with a background in Retail Display design who thrive in autonomous, fast-paced environments. If you're passionate about Retail Display design, shopper marketing, and working with global brands, this is your opportunity to shine.

You'll work in a creative, city-based studio environment on a variety of projects, from temporary promotional displays to permanent store installations. You'll take full ownership of projects from concept to completion, ensuring every detail is meticulously executed. Your work will span multiple manufacturing processes and materials, pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking briefs from the Creative Director and Client Services team.
  • 3D modelling and engineering using Solidworks.
  • 3D rendering and visualisation using 3D Studio Max.
  • Creating presentation layouts using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Developing production drawings and liaising with local and international suppliers for quotes and production.
  • Managing internal team communication and project timelines.
  • Building and testing prototypes from suppliers.
  • Staying ahead of trends in Retail Design and Shopper Marketing.

Ideal attributes and experience:

  • Detail-oriented mindset: You have a keen eye for precision and take pride in delivering flawless work.
  • Self-starter: You thrive in an autonomous role, managing your time and projects effectively with minimal oversight.
  • Creativity is your strength, and you're passionate about pushing design boundaries.
  • A degree in Industrial Design and proven industry experience, ideally within Retail Display or Shopper Marketing.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and experience working with offshore factories.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English skills (native-level proficiency required).
  • Legal right to work in Australia indefinitely (no visa sponsorship available).
