Overview

Investment Banking - Financial Institutions Group - Vice President

Location: Sydney. Full-time, regular role. This position is part of Deutsche Bank's Corporate & Investment Bank, Corporate Finance segment. The client base includes large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, and financial sponsors. Our teams provide M&A advisory, capital raising services, and cross-border capabilities across the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Your key responsibilities
  • Support origination and execution of IB business, with a strong focus on financial institutions coverage.
  • Conduct due diligence of clients and markets; manage deal documentation and internal approvals.
  • Participation in marketing efforts, including preparation of client presentations and pitches.
  • Handle day-to-day client queries on all execution-related matters.
  • Attend client meetings including execution and pitches.
Your skills and experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services Industry with direct experience in Financial Institutions coverage.
  • Strong quantitative skills with extensive experience in financial models and valuation techniques.
  • Detail-oriented with strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, with ability to multi-task and take initiative; strong critical thinking.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
