The Role

Reporting to the Area Operations Supervisor, the purpose of this position is to operate an Open Cut MPU in a safe and efficient manner in order to provide a quality product for the purpose of blasting at the site. The MPU Operator will be responsible for the delivery of emulsion based explosives in alignment with the services supplied on site. And with a strong commitment to upskilling and progressing your career throughout the company, you'll be on the fast track to success.

Skills

We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced MPU Operator to work at one of the various opportunities we have at our North Bowen Basin site. There will also be a potential requirement to work nightshift for these roles. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise you're mining skills and knowledge for one of our key customers. In addition, the MPU Operator will also be responsible for :

Safe and efficient machinery operation of a MPU for the purpose of manufacturing explosives.Delivery of emulsion-based explosives in alignment with the contracted services supplied on siteBasic maintenance on all on site equipment.Completion of all required paperwork.

What You Will Bring

It is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate operational experience as a qualified MPU Operator or demonstrated equipment operation experience on an active blast bench as well as the following :

The Site

The Bowen Basin, boasting Australia's largest coal reserves, is currently home to more than 40 operational coal mines, along with two gold mines and active gas fields. Additionally, numerous exploration and appraisal activities related to gas and coal are ongoing. The Collinsville vicinity is drained in a northward direction by the Bowen River, after which both the river and the basin were named, honoring Queensland's inaugural Governor, Sir George Bowen. Dyno presently provides down-the-hole services across several locations within the Bowen Basin.

This role could be placed at any of our Northern Bowen Basin sites, Coppabella Mine, Moorvale, Goonyella, Peak Downs, Saraji, and Daunia.
