About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability. Supported Independent Living (SIL) involves supporting individuals with disability in shared housing or their own home, providing supports such as personal care and daily living assistance. The role requires working across a 24/7 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in Hocking and Nollamara
  • Assist two male clients with psychosocial disability and mental health challenges
  • Engage clients in activities like gaming, art, and community connection
  • Implement person-centred support and follow behaviour support plans
  • Assist with personal care while promoting independence
  • Document daily care and changes in needs for coordinated support
  • Availability for sleepovers is essential

Skills & Experience

  • Resilience and confidence in managing complex situations and behaviours
  • An unrestricted Western Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
