The Team Leader AOD Clinician oversees the clinical services to clients ensuring that Windana's model of care is delivered. The role provides clinical expertise, manages direct reports and is responsible ensuring the high quality care of end-to-end case management for residential clients.
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the AOD Clinician team, including team meetings and allocation of workload/cases.
- Provide expert advice and support team members regarding case management practices and manages complex client cases when needed.
- Oversee and nurture collaboration and engagement across multiple specialised teams within a program or area, creating a thriving ecosystem of high-performance teams.
- Oversees the performance development, supervision and learning initiatives for the AOD Clinician team, ensuring alignment with program objectives, professional and clinical skills.
- Develop, plan, supervise and implement psycho educational and development programs for residents.
- Facilitate group interventions focused on a range of treatment modalities and other therapeutic interventions as required.
- Maintain and update case notes on residents' files in Mastercare and other relevant client management systems.
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working within the alcohol and drug sector, mental health or other primary health care environment with an understanding of AOD service navigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Youth Work, Mental Health or other similar health-discipline.
- Certificate IV in AOD or 4 AOD core competencies or willingness to complete studies during employment within first 6 months of employment.
- Proven experience conducting assessments, case management and development of client-centred treatment plans with clients with complex needs.
- Experience managing, supervising and leading a team to achieve strategic and operational outcomes, with an understanding on effective staff management strategies and practices.
- Strong interpersonal verbal skills with the ability to build rapport, negotiate and facilitate client outcomes and resolve conflict with a diverse group of people with complex needs using compassion.
- Demonstrated experience in assessment of clients with complex needs utilising relevant AOD screening tools.
- Strong professional written case noting skills.
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to adapt and reprioritise as required based on the needs of the program and residents.
