Location: Chelmer, QLD 4068
Start Date: Early Sep 2025
Contract Term: Permanent / Long term – at least 2-3 years at minimum
Pay: $45/hour + super + entitlements (negotiable for the right candidate and depending on experience)

Days and Hours:

Full Time Role – Monday – Thursday – 38 hrs total over the four days
Flexible on days for right candidate

Children: 2 boys (1 and 4yrs of age)

A warm and busy family are looking for a calm, capable, and proactive nanny to become a valued extension of their beautiful family by the river in Chelmer, QLD. You'll be caring primarily for the youngest child (1 yr of age),with occasional care for the eldest child (4 yrs of age) when he's not at pre-kindy. The family are offering a stable, long-term opportunity in a well-organised and beautiful home.

About You – Ideal Nanny:

Warm and calm, and a confident and mature communicator who genuinely enjoys toddlers
Proactive, tidy, and takes initiative while respecting the home's rhythms
Comfortable supporting routines and boundaries in a respectful, child-led way
Montessori experience or interest highly regarded
Enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle
Reliable, punctual, and communicative

Your Responsibilities and Typical Day:
  • Daily care of toddler (and occasional care of preschooler)
  • Facilitating fun and educational activities (some out of the house)
  • Supporting independent play
  • Managing nap and hygiene routines
  • Creating a calm and engaging environment
  • Very occasional kindy pick up

Light Meal Prep

  • Cook one lunch and one snack each week (suitable for freezing ie quiche and muffins)
  • Prep very quick / easy family dinners some days (30min, when time permits)

Light Housework

  • Tidy and reset play areas (with children where possible)
  • Wipe down kitchen benches after use
  • Unload/load dishwasher
  • Fold laundry, drop-off/pick-up ironing from local shop

The family's expectations from their nanny are:

  • 5+ years of experience as a nanny (Ideally have worked for 2 more or families on a long term basis)
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current Working With Children's Check
  • Must have excellent references
  • Display strong communication skills and speaks English
  • Full drivers license and own car to get to work (Family car provided at work)
