Head of Industrial Software and Digital Transformation

Wenham Carter is proud to be supporting a global powerhouse in industrial software in the search for a high-performing Sales Director to lead growth across the Australian market.

Our client is one of the most established and trusted names in industrial digital transformation. With a global presence and deep domain expertise, they empower some of the world's largest manufacturers to optimise production, improve efficiency, and accelerate innovation through advanced industrial software solutions. Their platform integrates the digital and physical worlds, unlocking real-time data and driving measurable ROI across complex industrial environments.

As part of their continued investment in the APAC region, they are looking to appoint a Sales Director for Australia, a strategic role focused on expanding market share and driving net new business.

The Opportunity:

This is a high-impact, senior commercial role targeting Australia's industrial manufacturing sector. You'll be responsible for:

• Driving net new logo acquisition across key manufacturing verticals and related industries.
• Owning the full sales cycle - from lead generation through to close, and beyond into strategic account development, cross-sell and upsell.
• Engaging with enterprise clients to identify needs, shape solutions, and close complex, high-value MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and digital transformation deals.
• Working hand-in-hand with a seasoned presales engineering team, enabling you to focus on commercial outcomes while being supported by deep technical expertise.
• Inheriting and expanding existing client relationships, providing both a warm landing and a strong foundation for growth.

What We're Looking For:

This is not a junior position. We're looking for a proven sales leader who knows how to open doors, build trust, and close big deals.

To be considered, you must:

• Have a track record of selling MES or adjacent industrial software solutions to enterprise manufacturing clients.
• Be a true hunter – someone who thrives on business development and is energised by cracking new accounts.
• Be comfortable with solution selling and complex deal navigation – from initial discovery, through to procurement and stakeholder alignment.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing manufacturers today, especially around digital transformation and operational efficiency.
• Be based in Australia, ideally with existing networks across food & beverage, life sciences, energy, or discrete manufacturing verticals.
