State Sales Manager - NSW

Due to an exciting internal transfer, Wesco Anixter Security Branches are seeking a commercially driven State Manager to lead our NSW sales operation. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for state performance, team leadership, branch management, and strategic execution in a dynamic and competitive industry.

The Role
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of sales and branch management across NSW, ensuring alignment with national objectives to deliver strong financial outcomes.
  • Drive customer service excellence to every aspect of the sales branches, including showroom and trade counter
  • Lead, motivate, and support internal and external sales teams
  • Execute regional sales strategy to drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to optimise sales volume, product mix, and pricing
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow revenue and margin
  • Ensure operational compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Marketing to deliver targeted sales initiatives
  • Manage credit risk while balancing supply and customer demand
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing talent
About You
  • Proven leadership and commercial acumen, with a track record of delivering results in the electronic security, electrical, or closely related technology industry
  • Proven experience in a State Manager or sales leadership role, with strong leadership capabilities
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective stakeholder and team management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities and drive operational excellence
  • Ability to influence and leverage support departments within a matrix business structure
