We are seeking expressions of interest from current or aspiring VE Teachers who have relevant industry qualifications and vocational teaching qualifications, or are currently obtaining a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116).

About The Role

As a VE Teacher at RMIT, you will be responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses within the School.

Your role will include participating in the School's ongoing review of course content, development, delivery methods (including online), and assessment strategies. You will interact with external organizations, industry groups, and RMIT staff. Your performance will be supported by activities ensuring your vocational competence meets or exceeds the educational level being delivered and assessed.

You should possess effective interpersonal and communication skills suitable for teaching and consultancy environments, including presentation and facilitation skills, as well as experience in competency-based assessment. Relevant industry experience, substantial discipline knowledge, and qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (enrolled or completed), along with relevant trades qualifications and licenses, are required. The ability to diagnose learning problems and implement effective solutions is essential.

Please Note : Appointment to this position is contingent upon passing a Working with Children and a National Police Check.
