About The Opportunity

Piacentini & Son were recently awarded a 9-year contract for Kimberley Mineral Sands Thunderbird Operations, a greenfield Mineral Sands mine 140km by road between Broome and Derby.

Piacentini & Son are seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor, with a passion for enhancing a safe and healthy work environment. This role will be based at our new Broome site. This role will work closely with site management, whilst being strongly supported by our Bunbury based Learning & Development team.

About The Role
  • Ensure employees are trained, assessed and compliant in accordance with site Training Needs Analysis and Training Management Plan
  • Ensuring all personnel have access to training and inductions when required to meet legal and site competency requirements
  • Ensure all training documentation is accurately completed and entered
  • Manage assessment, reassessment and refresher training across site

About You
  • Demonstrated experience as a Trainer & Assessor in a similar role
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or above
  • Proven experience operating as an All-rounder in an open cut environment including production Loader, Excavator and Dozer
  • HRWL: LF, CN, DG, EWP
  • The ability to mentor and train others with respect and clarity
  • Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of employees
  • You must have working rights in Australia
  • Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
  • Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen
