The Marketplace Growth Manager's primary focus is to execute the Kmart Marketplace strategy through outreach, negotiations, onboarding, and data-driven account management. This foundational role in the Marketplace Sales team is crucial in fostering a high-performance culture and driving strategy execution.

What you'll be doing

If you are strategic, passionate about sales and partnerships, and driven to grow, you will play a key role in scaling our marketplace. Building strong relationships, driving outcomes, and exploring new opportunities for sellers and customers are central to this role. Your influence, collaboration, and execution skills will shape our marketplace's future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading acquisition and onboarding of high-potential sellers aligned with our categories.
  • Developing growth plans for priority categories, identifying gaps, and increasing brand presence.
  • Building seller relationships and supporting their success through data analysis.
  • Collaborating with teams like Marketplace Operations and Online Trade for a seamless seller experience.
  • Optimising financial performance by analyzing metrics, adjusting seller mix, increasing GMV, and improving margins.
  • Managing accounts from onboarding to expansion.
  • Conducting business reviews, presenting insights, and recommending strategies.
  • Researching market trends to inform features and pricing.
  • Executing growth strategies to meet revenue and performance goals.
  • Utilising tools to manage campaigns, track KPIs, and resolve issues.

To be successful in this role you'll have

We seek someone with strategic thinking, commercial insight, and strong relationship skills.

  • 3–5 years' experience in digital retail, eCommerce, or marketplaces.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce (preferred).
  • Understanding of marketplace platforms, CRM, and analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven sales and client management experience with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Success in driving double-digit growth in marketplace or eCommerce.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Analytical skills for decision-making and performance optimisation.
  • Experience in a dynamic retail or marketplace environment.
  • Leadership skills to manage and mentor teams while being hands-on.
