Collarcare are currently seeking Chef/Cook, Kitchen Hands and Cleaners to work casual shifts within Aged Care facilities in the Griffith, NSW region.

What the Chef/Cook role involves:

  • Preparing and presenting food for our residents
  • Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
  • Maintaining a clean working environment
  • Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
  • Providing fast, effective service with a positive attitude
  • Preparing and presenting texture modified foods
What the Kitchen Hand role involves:
  • Preparing and plating meals
  • Cleaning kitchen areas and dishes
  • Assisting the cook or chef with food prep
  • Following food safety and hygiene standards
  • Supporting residents with a friendly, respectful approach
What this Cleaner role involves:
  • Clean and sanitize all areas of residential facility as required
  • Follow establish cleaning procedures to ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to cleaning requests from staff in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow all safely and security protocols while working
What You'll Need
  • Experience working in a kitchen or food service role within Aged Care OR Hospitals in Australia
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • A currentPolice Check(or willingness to obtain)
  • COVID-19 & Flu vaccinations
  • NDIS Worker Check(or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to work in a team and take direction
  • A kind and respectful attitude towards elderly residents
  • Relevant Qualification: Cert III in Commercial Cookery, Food Safety Certificate
