About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Access Assistant Program team as an Enrolled Nurse. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing direct nursing care and support to pre-school and school-aged children with complex health and disability needs in community education settings, including 1:1 support in preschools, mainstream, and special education schools.
  2. Supporting the Registered Nurse in delivering person-centred care in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  3. Practising at a level ranging from novice to proficient, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and remaining accountable for your own nursing care.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practicing certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proven experience in paediatrics or working with clients with complex health issues.
