Contract : 2x Ongoing positions available, 56.0 hours per fortnight.

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated Kitchen Support - Assistant Cooks to join our Food Services team in these newly created roles If you have commercial cooking experience and are looking for a varied and interesting work environment this is the ideal position for you.

The Position :

As a Kitchen Support Assistant, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, nutritious meals to patients and residents by following the BRHS Food Safety Plan and Healthy Choices guidelines. This hands-on role includes preparing and packing meals, handling food safely, assisting with special dietary needs, and maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen. It's a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team making a real difference in the hospital and aged care community. Applicants have availability to work a range of shifts as required between 6.30 am and 7pm, across 7 days a week including public holidays.

Key selection criteria :

Demonstrated experience in food service environment including basic food handling and organisation.Current Safe Food Handling Certificate and knowledge of dietary requirements is desirable.Understanding of food safety and hygiene including temperature, cross-contamination and cleaning protocols.Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing for long periods and moving equipment.
