ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR

As an Electrician Supervisor, you'll lead a team of Electricians and an Electrician Leading Hand, ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs across Hamilton Island.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Electrical team, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across all tasks.
• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and emergency work.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs on white goods, AV systems, motors, and pumps.
• Maintain and install light and power systems for the resort, staff accommodation, and concessionaires.
• Maintain and install commercial kitchen appliances.
• Prioritize urgent repairs to ensure guest comfort and safety.
• Accurately record labor hours, materials, and requisition information.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, safe, and roadworthy.
• Prepare work rosters and check time sheets for accuracy.
• Assist other trades as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain effective communication through briefings and meetings.

What We're Looking For:

• Essential: School Certificate, Queensland Electrical Work License – Electrical Mechanic, eligibility to be the Qualified Technical Person for HIE Restricted Electrical Contractors License, minimum 2 years full-time trade experience, QLD open/unrestricted driver's license, current CPR & LVR, and previous supervisory experience.
• Desirable: Experience in the tourism or hospitality industry.
• Excellent personal presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with flexibility in rostering and willingness to work over 40 hours per week and be on-call as required.
