This is a critical role requiring exceptional technical expertise, consultancy experience, and strong client-facing skills. The ideal candidate will be an Australian Citizen, must be available on standby at all times to attend to critical services, and take full ownership of their responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude in all aspects of the role.This position demands the ability to self-learn, stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, and proactively find solutions to complex technical challenges. The candidate must have exceptionally strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to proactively address cloud challenges, while embracing a "never trust, always verify" mindset to ensure the highest levels of security and reliability.   • Azure Services Expertise: Design, implement, and manage solutions across:
    • Networking (ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, Application Gateway, Front Door)
    • Data Services (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake)
    • Application Delivery (API Management, App Service Plans, Function App)
    • Identity & Security (App Registration, Modern Authentication, Zero Trust frameworks)
  • Microsoft 365 Management & Security: Manage, monitor, and track performance, usage, and security of Microsoft 365 applications (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint). Ensure compliance with security best practices and maintain system reliability.
  • Troubleshooting & Proactive Challenge Resolution: Demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Proactively address cloud challenges to mitigate risks and ensure seamless operations.
  • Automation Skills: Implement infrastructure and workflow automation using Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud Monitoring & Operations: Participate in proactive monitoring and alerting to ensure service uptime, resolve issues promptly, and maintain client trust.
  • Client Management & Solution Delivery: Provide effective solutions to complex technical challenges while maintaining strong client relationships and managing expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Azure Services Expertise: In-depth knowledge of key services grouped under networking, data services, application delivery, and identity/security solutions.
  • Microsoft 365 Expertise: Proven experience in managing, monitoring, and securing Microsoft 365 applications (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Exceptionally strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve cloud challenges.
  • Automation Skills: Proficiency in tools like Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
  • Cloud Monitoring & Operations: Experience in maintaining high availability through proactive monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Consultancy Experience: Strong MSP background with demonstrated client management, problem-solving, and solution-delivery expertise.
  • Operating Systems: Advanced support experience in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Landing Zone Architecture: Knowledge of or experience with Landing Zone Architecture is an advantage but not essential.
  • Zero Trust Mindset: Familiarity with Zero Trust principles, applying a "never trust, always verify" philosophy in all security practices.
  • Client-Facing Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for managing high-pressure situations professionally.
  • Self-Learning & Initiative: Ability to independently learn new technologies and apply them effectively to solve challenges.
Requirements
  • Citizenship: Australian Citizen (mandatory for security and compliance purposes).
  • Experience: A minimum of 8+ years in a senior technical role within an MSP or consultancy environment.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in Microsoft Cloud Services, Microsoft 365, automation tools, and security frameworks (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-100, Terraform Associate, CISSP) are highly desirable.
  • Hybrid Work & Client Visits: Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel to client sites when required.
  • Availability: Must be on-call and ready to respond to critical service needs at any time.
