Manager – SMSF Specialist

Our SMSF Specialist Team supports clients managing their compliance and advisory in relation to their Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF's). We are a national team with deep experience in administration, compliance, and strategic legislative advice in relation to all rules and regulations that apply to SMSF's. We continue to look ahead and collaborate with the other service lines in the business to support clients in their continued business success and growth. We are equipped to decisively deliver new ways of thinking, big-picture perspectives and acute insights that help clients make informed.

Due to continued growth, we're seeking a Manager to join our SMSF Specialist Team in Brisbane.

In this leadership role, you will:

• Oversee the workflow and performance of a dedicated SMSF portfolio.
• Lead the review of compliance files, reporting deliverables, and audit outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, external auditors, the ATO, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide strategic technical advice on superannuation and taxation rules.
• Lead and contribute to complex tax and accounting compliance and advisory engagements.
• Drive internal training initiatives and represent the team at client events and industry forums.
• Manage billing, profitability, and internal risk procedures.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
• Contribute to business development and growth initiatives within the SMSF service line.

You are:

• A confident communicator who can simplify complex concepts and influence outcomes.
• Strategic and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Passionate about leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Significant SMSF experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of SMSF legislation and compliance.
• Experience with Class Super (highly desirable).
• A commitment to professional development and client service excellence.

CA or CPA qualification.
