Fixed term fulltime position available for 18 months.
Opportunity to join the Adelaide Exposure Science and Health laboratory to work on a Defence project related to risk-based decision making for skin decontamination in emergency response incidents.
Dermal exposure is an important secondary route of exposure for toxic chemicals, particularly for unprotected public and emergency hospital departments in the case of a release incident. This work is designed to provide experimental data for evidence-based decision making by first responders and operational risk assessment regarding skin decontamination and will build on a program of work focused on dermal exposure to chemicals.
To be successful you will need:
- Completion of a PhD in Chemistry or related Discipline or have equivalent qualifications or research experience.
- Demonstrated experience in analytical method development and operation of advanced analytical equipment (e.g. LCMS, GC, NMR).

- Strong planning, documentation, and data interpretation skills.
- Capacity to collaborate and engage with diverse stakeholders and industry partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in an academic environment.
- Be an Australian citizen.
