This is a Full Time Fixed Term position until 20/9/2026 at 80 hours per fortnight within the Occupational Therapy department. Working at the Royal Children's Hospital provides a unique opportunity to work alongside children and their families during pivotal life phases. You will be responsible for providing occupational therapy assessment and intervention services to inpatient and/or outpatient infants, children and adolescents, to support child development and maximise participation in daily activities and quality of life.

• Provide assessment and discharge plans in collaboration with patients and their families to maximise participation in everyday activities
• Make an impact on meaningful outcomes for infants, children and young adults during their individual healthcare journey
• Champion innovative and outcome-focused intervention practices to foster progress and wellbeing of RCH patients

Classification for this position will range from VE8-VF3 Grade 1, Year 1 - Grade 1, Year 5 (base salary $67,849 to $82,540 per annum, plus superannuation).

• Recognised graduate-entry qualification in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor, Masters or Doctorate)
• Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Previous clinical experience working within acute care or a hospital environment
• Clinical experience working with children
• Have confidence in educating patients/parents/discipline staff/ multidisciplinary team and members of the wider community to minimise risk and promote successful outcomes for patient care
• Demonstrated ability to work under supervision, improving performance through supervisor feedback and reflective practice
