Overview

Tuga Pastries is a second generation bakery that has been in Sydney for over 35 years making the best pastries, but most famously known for its amazing Portuguese Tarts. The business continues to grow as we expand our production facility in Marrickville. The business culture at Tuga is one that values excellent customer service, quality products, and a warm and friendly atmosphere where staff are looked after.

We are excited to be looking for full-time Baker to be based out of our Marrickville location.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

Availability to work weekends is a must, shift start times commencing around 8am.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience as a bread baker with production knowledge in a variety of bread products; experience in sourdough and artisan breads is beneficial.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of bread baking experience is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of baking techniques and industry best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Food safety certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively train and manage junior bakers.
  • A passion for the art of baking and a commitment to creating exceptional products.
