We are EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and sunglasses. We bring together the expertise of two industry pioneers, one in advanced lens technologies and the other in the craftsmanship of iconic eyewear, creating a vertically integrated business that is uniquely positioned to address the world's evolving vision needs. We craft exclusive eyewear brands such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, Oliver Peoples, Persol, Costa, and more, alongside esteemed licensed brands like Tiffany & Co., Burberry, and CHANEL. Our cutting-edge lenses, Varilux and Transitions, lead the industry in innovation. In Australia and New Zealand, we operate iconic retail and eye care brands including Sunglass Hut, Oakley, OPSM, Ray-Ban, and Laubman & Pank. Every day, EssilorLuxottica's 190,000 employees in 150 countries work towards a common mission to help people see more and be more.

We're looking for a commercially focused and strategic Senior Product Manager to take ownership of our lens portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.

In this senior role, you'll lead the planning, launch, and lifecycle management of market-leading products including Varilux progressive lenses, Eyezen single vision, Stellest myopia control, and innovative solutions from Nikon, Transitions, and OSA.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth and category performance, using your strong market insight and leadership to bring new vision care innovations to life. A deep understanding of the optical industry and a track record of commercial impact will set you up for success.

Requirements for Success

  • Shape local brand strategy by aligning global direction with tailored messaging for Professional Solutions customers and channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, trade marketing, operations, and training to deliver successful product launches and sustained growth.
  • Own the performance and commercial strategy of a diverse lens portfolio including Varilux, Eyezen, Stellest, Nikon, Transitions, and OSA.
  • Optimise product mix, pricing, and promotional strategies for each market segment and distribution channel.
  • Use customer insights, sales data, and market intelligence to guide category decisions and drive business growth.
  • Oversee campaign development, media planning, and budget management, working closely with agencies and internal teams.
  • Develop sales enablement tools, product materials, and in-store execution plans to support field teams and enhance client conversion.
  • Represent the ANZ region in global brand forums, ensuring local needs are reflected in regional and global plans.
  • Manage a small team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture and supporting professional development.
  • Deliver business reporting, campaign performance reviews, and marketing ROI analysis to senior leadership.
  • Support the Marketing Director with strategic planning, budget forecasting, and broader team initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business, Optometry, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in product, brand, or category management, ideally in the optical, healthcare, or consumer goods sectors.
  • Solid understanding of marketing strategy and execution, with exposure to the lens or optical market an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly present ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a drive to create value and solutions that meet end-user needs.
  • Confident working independently while also contributing as a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally, demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to getting things right the first time.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, accountability for outcomes, and a willingness to keep learning and growing.
