Overview

Mechanical Technician (Fitter) – Night Shift (18:00 – 06:00). The Maintenance Services department requires an experienced Mechanical Technician (Fitter) to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, corrective and breakdown maintenance on automated machines at CSL Behring facilities in Broadmeadows.

Responsibilities
  • Overhaul and maintain automated filling and packaging machines, including supporting machine/line changeovers.
  • TIG stainless steel welding and lathe/milling work.
  • Operate with Microsoft software packages and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Work to GMP principles with an appreciation of aseptic processes and techniques.
  • Support manufacturing on a shift roster; flexibility to meet operational needs, including outside normal hours or facility shutdowns to support major maintenance activities.
Your Experience
  • Certificate 3 Mechanical Engineering trade or Indentured Certificate as a Fitter & Turner.
  • Proven experience in maintenance and operation of automated filling and packaging equipment with fault diagnosis and corrective action.
  • Experience in a regulated GMP environment in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and work traceability standards is highly desirable.
  • You are highly motivated and enjoy utilising your initiative to solve complex mechanical problems.
  • Strong commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
