How you'll make a differenceVictoria Daly Regional Council is looking for a full-time Customer Service Officer based in Pine Creek, NT.
This position is responsible for assisting the Council Operations Assistant Manager and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the reception for the Council Office.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Council Operations Assistant Manager with daily tasks.
- Deal with a range of customer queries face to face, by phone, email & fax.
- Assist customers with their queries efficiently.
- Ensure an effective, efficient, and courteous service is provided to all service users and the community.
- Maintain a safe staff working environment.
- Ensure that proper WHS regulations set by the Council are adhered to.
As the Victoria Daly region has a large Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population, you will need to ensure cultural sensitivity and awareness across all activities.
What you'll bring to the teamTo qualify, candidates will need knowledge and experience in administration, including Microsoft Office 365 and customer service.
Additionally, you will join with the following skills and background:
- Sound computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent phone manners.
- Ability to perform multi-tasks under pressure.
- Personal integrity, good interpersonal skills, and a friendly disposition.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and direction.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve outcomes.
- Basic understanding in the field of customer services.
- Sound knowledge of the principles of WHS.
As the ideal candidate, possessing good interpersonal communication skills, the ability to multitask and time manage, and a professional approach to customers.
