About the Opportunity

Based in Melbourne or Sydney, the Group Travel Manager is the face of the FCM Meetings & Events Group Travel Team to a large mix of customers. Group Travel Managers must have an ultimate customer-centric mindset and always demonstrate solution-based thinking. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are key to ensuring our corporate customers always receive an exceptional experience.

A Group Travel Manager is an expert in booking and managing group or fully independent travel requirements for a broad range of customers including corporates, universities, and special interest groups. Embodying all elements of the FCM Meetings and Events brand, the Group Travel Manager is results-driven and delivers successful execution of MICE projects through customer engagement, proactivity, and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities include:
  • Show expertise in corporate travel product knowledge to deliver the best outcome for the customer & FCM M&E
  • Assist in budgeting and executing professional and accurate business travel arrangements for corporate accounts, including air, car, hotel, and ground transportation reservations.
  • Follow company procedures, account guidelines, and customer service standards in sourcing products, quoting, making travel arrangements, ticketing, ticket exchanges/changes, CRS/GDS productivity, record keeping, and admin entry.
  • Maintain high professionalism and excellent communication skills.
  • Manage time effectively and multitask to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills.
  • Adapt to changing work environments and stakeholder requirements.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to service clients effectively.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively provide solutions to logistical challenges.
  • Show expertise in fares, complex itineraries, and attention to detail with a passion for customer service.
  • Location: North Sydney or Melbourne.
About You:
  • GDS: SABRE - essential
  • Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel - essential
  • Experience with major airline group booking platforms - preferred
  • Experience with Event Management Technology (Events Air / Cvent) - preferred
  • Previous Group Travel / MICE experience (3+ years) - preferred
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
