Overview

We're looking for a Senior Advisor to join the Strategy and Governance team at the Department of Justice QLD. In this role, you'll support the delivery of the department's corporate governance obligations, from organisational planning and performance reporting to policy development. You'll collaborate with business areas across the department to drive governance outcomes and produce high-quality, accurate reporting.

What you'll be doing
  • Coordinating and consolidating reporting updates across the department.
  • Providing advice, analysis and problem-solving on planning, performance and reporting matters.
  • Ensuring departmental plans and performance reporting meet required standards.
  • Managing multiple deadlines and preparing reporting materials in advance.
  • Contributing to major external publications such as the annual report, strategic plan and service delivery statements.
  • Preparing high-level written materials, including submissions, correspondence and briefing notes.
  • Reviewing corporate governance policies and coordinating feedback.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships to support governance activities.
Who we're looking for
  • Strong knowledge (or ability to quickly develop knowledge) of corporate governance processes and workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Employment details
  • Base pay range: $118,064.00/yr - $126,071.00/yr
  • Department of Justice QLD provided pay range; your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
